A handful of well-known fully-
tenanted Queenstown commercial
properties are on the market as some
investors look to either trade up or
reposition themselves in the market.
Colliers commercial consultant
Mark Simpson said there were some
good investments on offer as a result.
The Lab Backpackers building at 6
Henry St, is being sold. The 595
square metre building has six years
to run on its lease and will be
auctioned on August 30.
The ''Big Bear'' site at 11 Henry St
has a total land area of 1578sqm, with
802sqm residential land. The three-
level building includes a total
commercial floor area of 480sqm and
two three-bedroom apartments, and
is for sale by deadline private treaty.
Mr Simpson said it was owned by
Queenstown investors who were
looking at other opportunities.
A commercial building on the
Frankton Rd corner, which houses
two ground-floor restaurants and a
liquor store with six offices above, is
also up for auction on August 30.
The Glenorchy Lodge building,
which includes an eight-room lodge,
cafe, restaurant and bar, and shop
and booking centre is also up for
grabs. It has an 850sqm floor area.

two of its Queenstown bars, Harry's
and Sky Bar, to concentrate on
''precincts'' and expand into the
