Notice Of Intention To Grant Licence To Occupy
Frankton Domain Recreation Reserve
The land described in the Schedule to this Notice (the Land) is vested in the
Queenstown Lakes District Council pursuant to Section 26 of the Reserves Act 1977
as recreation reserve and is known as the Frankton Domain. Council is considering
granting a licence to occupy over 2,263 square metres of land on the western and
southern sides of the school, for a thirty year period to Remarkables Primary School
for the purposes of a sports feld.
The Council is required to publicly notify its intention to grant such a licence by way of
this notice to seek submissions from the public about the proposal.
Any person or organisation may forward a submission to the Council about the
proposed licence referred to above. More information can be obtained from the
Council's agent, APL Property Ltd, PO Box 1586, Queenstown; phone (03) 442 7133;
or email email@example.com. Submissions should be sent to APL Property
no later than 5pm, 10 November 2012.

Hazardous waste amnesty
The Hazardous Waste Amnesty is an annual event that allows residents and
businesses in the Queenstown Lakes District to drop off their hazardous waste for
safe recycling and disposal.
Hazardous waste, which includes materials such as glues, paints, cleaners,
chemicals, old and new fertilisers, fats and oils, fuorescent light bulbs, circuit boards,
and aerosols and lighters, needs to be disposed of carefully in order not to affect the
health of people or the environment.
The latest amnesty will take place at the following times and locations:
Frankton Transfer Station
10am to 4pm on Friday 19 October and 10am to 4pm on Saturday 20 October
Wanaka Transfer Station
11.30am to 3.30pm on Sunday 21 October and 11.30am to 3.30pm on Monday 22
Residents and businesses with small amounts of household hazardous waste may
dispose of it free of charge. There will be a charge for amounts in excess of 50 kilos
($10 per kilo). Transpacifc Industrial Solutions will ensure that all materials collected
are processed and disposed of safely.
QLDC approved arborist application
Council updates its list of approved arborists which are entitled to work on scheduled
trees listed in Council's District Plan and may from time to time undertake arboricultural
work on trees that are not covered by its current tree maintenance contract.
Companies wishing to be considered to be a Council approved arborist must supply
the following information no later than 30 November 2012.
• Copy of a Health and Safety Policy
• Company name, address and contact details
• Proof of current membership of the New Zealand Arboriculture Association
• A list of staff who will be undertaking arboricultural work and their qualifcations
ie your certifed arborist(s) with accreditation details or copy of ISA card
Arrowtown Road Closure
Pursuant to the Local Government Act 1974, notice is hereby given that the following
roads will be closed to ordinary vehicular traffc for the Otago Goldfelds Heritage
Trust 150 Years of Gold Celebrations
Roads to be Closed: Buckingham Street from Butlers Green to Bedford Street,
Berkshire Street from Ramshaw Lane to Wiltshire Street, all of Ramshaw Lane, all
of Roman Lane, all of Camp Lane, all of Arrow Lane, all of Villiers Street, Surrey
Street from Buckingham Street to Manse Road, Nairn Street from Bedford Street to
the Recreational Reserve, Bedford Street from Merioneth Street to Cardigan Street,
Wiltshire Street from Hertford Street to Ramshaw Lane and Merioneth Street from
Hertford Street to Bedford Street.
Period of Closure: Saturday 20 October 2012 from 0700 to 1900
It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person otherwise than under
authority of an authorised permit to use the roads for ordinary vehicular traffc during
the period of closure.
SPARC Rural Travel Fund
The Rural Travel Fund is open to all sports clubs and school teams in the Queenstown
Lakes District to apply for funding to support teams participating in regular local sport
competition on weekends. This excludes inter-school and intra-school competitions
played during school time.
Applications forms are available from both Wanaka and Queenstown Council offces

ADVERTISING TERMS AND
In accepting an advertisement (including a notice) for publication,
and in publishing it we are doing so in consideration of and relying
on the advertisers express warranty, the truth of which is essential:
a. That the advertisement does not contain anything that is
misleading or deceptive or likely to mislead or deceive or which
otherwise breaches the Fair Trading Act 1986. That is defamatory or
indecent or which otherwise offends against generally accepted

2. The advertiser agrees to indemnify us against all losses or costs
arising directly or indirectly from any breach of those warranties by
the advertiser and from any costs incurred in our making corrections
or amendments in accordance with the terms that follow.
3. By supplying or placing an advertisement for publication the
advertiser grants us a perpetual, royalty free license to reproduce the
advertisement in any print or electronic advertising media we offer
advertisers now or in the future.
4. Where the advertiser utilises any aspect of our creative services in
the design or production of an advertisement (including photo-
graphic or design work) the advertiser acknowledges that we own the
copyright in such work and that such work is not work for which a
commissioning payment has been made or agreed.
5. We may refuse to publish, or withdraw an advertisement from
publication without having to give a reason.
6. We may publish the advertisement on the next available day if
there is an error delay in publication of the advertising as booked.
7. We may correct or amend advertising to conform to style or for
other genuine reason as long as we do so using reasonable care.
8. We may take orders for advertising in specific spaces (space
orders). The space may be used only by the advertiser for advertising
of the advertisers usual business and may not be transferred by the
advertiser to another person.
9. The guarantees contained in The Consumer Guarantees Act 1993
are excluded where the advertiser acquires, or holds himself out as
acquiring, goods or services from us for the purpose of a business.
10. The advertiser must tell us as soon as possible if there is an error
or omission in any advertisement the advertiser has placed. We will
not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss (which includes
loss of revenue or profit) from an error or omission or failure to
publish and if we are found to have any direct liability for any
circumstance that liability is limited to the cost of the space of the

obtained from us.
12. The charge for an advertisement will be in accordance with the
published rate card applying at the time for the publication, unless
we agree otherwise in writing. Rate card adjustments will apply to
space orders with effect from advertising appearing 28 days after the
rate adjustment is published on our rate card. Rates for space orders
apply for the whole space and are not reduced if the whole space is

residents will be zero-rates for GST purposes. GST will be applied at
the standard rate to advertising placed by non-resident agents acting
for New Zealand resident principals.
14. If payment for advertising is not made by due date (which is the
20th of the month following invoice. unless we specify otherwise ) the
advertiser will be liable for interest at market rates and all costs of
recovery, commissions and collection fees.
