@ CLASSIC CLYDE ON SUNDAY
Sunday 3rd March 10.30am to 2pm
Clyde's Historic Precinct
It will be destination Clyde this weekend when the last of the
action-packed 'Clyde on Sunday' events for the season will
be held, albeit with a 'Classic' twist included for the finale
Clyde's' historical precinct will ring with 'Classic' activities
and 'Classic' food, bringing a nostalgic yet historical focus
for the day.
Classic Hot Dogs, Classic Sliced Pork and Apple Sauce will
be the taste treats under the spotlight for the day, alongside
a 'Classic' Cake Stall, with the ever popular 'Classic' Girl
Guide biscuits on sale.
Spokesperson Melanie Eade said they will have many of
their traditional and popular 'Clyde on Sunday' inclusions,
such as the varied market stalls with all their lovely wares
including eggs, cheese, specialty breads and local wines
with entertainment, which is an integral part of the day,
provided by Cathy Stanton and 'The Junction'.
The children's programmes have always been very popular
and well supported but this weekend there will be a slight
change in plans with a 'Top Dog' parade being held.
Designed to be an event which both children and adults can
enter, dogs (and their owners) will need to have assembled
by 11:15 a.m with a parade planned for 11:30 a.m. With
prizes generously donated from CRT, the local Vets and
businesses, it's sure to be a lot of fun and spectators will
be able to watch out for the canines which have taken out
the prizes, amongst them the title of the biggest dog, the
smallest dog, the ugliest dog and the dog which looks most
like their owner (or vice versa) and so on.
It's sure to bring lots of laughs for everyone involved.
While this is the last 'Clyde on Sunday' for the season,
already the organising team are looking ahead to next
season which is scheduled to start up again in October.
Meanwhile Melanie said that planning is well underway
for another event for Clyde and set to be held at Labour
"People need to circle that date on their calendar now.
We are very excited about what will be happening and be
included for this event, so 'Watch this space'."
